The Lonely Seal Film, Screenplay and Music Festival quickly became one of the world’s best new festivals, launching deep into FilmFreeway’s “Top 100 Best Reviewed Film Festivals within six days of our eligibility. Our meteoric rise was because we  earned 36 five-star reviews from filmmakers who played our festival.  

We cherish inclusiveness, independent voices, and stories aching to be told. We’re looking for positive self-starters to help grow our important, vibrant and soon-to-be-not-so-little film, screenplay and music festival! Below is a listing of our internships available: 

Screenplay Festival Screener
10-15 hours per week logging onto our film festival portal on FilmFreeway and watching feature films, and or documentaries, short films, music videos, or reading screenplays. You’ll then score each film and screenplay on a judges scorecard. We only want to program the best creativity we can find, so your opinion will be crucial to our continued success. 

One hour per week on Skype and or on the phone with Festival Directors Hammad Zaidi and Jonathan Nadeau. We will discuss your experience, new tasks, and asking us any questions you may have. Hammad has judged many film festivals since 1997, and Jonathan ran the technical side of our inaugural festival in October, 2018, so we’re happy to bolster your knowledge of the film festival world.

Social Media Programing Associate
10-15 hours per week helping us keep our social media up-to-date. Successful candidates will be responsible for posting updates, videos, and notifications on our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. You may also screen some films and read some screenplays submitted to us. 

One hour per week on Skype and or  the phone with Festival Directors Hammad Zaidi and Jonathan Nadeau. We will discuss your experience, new tasks, and asking us any questions you may have. Hammad has judged many film festivals since 1997, and Jonathan ran the technical side of our inaugural festival in October, 2018, so we’re happy to bolster your knowledge of the film festival world.

Sponsorship Associate
10-15 hours per week helping us navigate our national and local sponsorship requests. Successful candidates will be assist us in building sponsorship decks and submitting them to sponsors online. You will also follow up with sponsors, and help us answer any questions they may have. You may also screen some films and read some screenplays submitted to us. 

Once you watch and read the news independent voices out there, you’ll score each film and screenplay on a judges scorecard. We only want to program the best creativity we can find, so your opinion will be crucial to our continued success.
