Eugene O’Neill’s – The First Man (UK 2:28:00) This is the first-ever film adaptation of The First Man – an early and rare story from the pen of Nobel laureate and Pulitzer Prize winner, Eugene O’Neill. This psychological romantic drama set in 1920s Connecticut delves into themes of obsession, grief, and betrayal.

5:00 PM-6:45 PM – Ernest Thompson Screening, Discussion, and Book Signing 

Academy Award-winning Screenwriter Ernest Thompson (Best Adapted Screenplay, On Golden Pond – 1982 – based on Mr. Thompson’s play) will discuss his new book, “Out Clause,” and participate in a book signing. We will also screen Mr. Thompson’s short film, The Constituent, which he wrote, directed, and acted in. Here is a brief description: Constituent (USA, 36:31). When Chas Potter takes action on his concern for our country and the challenges it faces, he receives a response from a United States senator who has had enough and pays a (not so) friendly visit. The confrontation is stunning and stark. And hilarious.

7:00 PM – 8:00 PM – Awards Ceremony 

We will celebrate all of the filmmakers, screenwriters and musicians in attendance, and awards will be announced.
